For most students in Punjab, going to school, college, or university every day is not easy. Buses are usually overcrowded, people have to wait for a long time at stops, and petrol prices keep rising every week. To solve this problem, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and the Government of Punjab have launched the second phase of the ‘Green Initiative E-Bike Scheme’.

In this project, 100,000 brand-new electric scooters are being provided to students across the province. This helps both male and female students travel safely, save money, and keep the air clean.

The government is making it super easy for students to get their own ride without putting pressure on their parents:

100,000 Electric Bikes: A massive gift for students all over Punjab.
Rs. 90,000 Discount (Subsidy): The Punjab Government pays Rs. 90,000 directly to lower the price of every single bike.
Zero Downpayment: You do not need to give a single rupee in advance to order your scooter.
0% Interest Rate: You only pay back the real price of the bike without any extra bank interest charges.
Easy Monthly Payments: You can pay small monthly installments of around Rs. 3,000 for 3 years (36 months).
Free Registration and Insurance: The government pays for the bike’s registration plates, token tax, and full insurance policy.
Free Safety Gear: Every student gets a high-quality helmet and front/rear safety rods for free.
Zero Petrol Expenses: Since this e-bikes runs completely on electricity, you never have to stand in line at a petrol station again.

2. Who Can Apply for CM Punjab E-Bike Scheme?

Check this list to see if you qualify for the scheme:

Student Status: You must be a regular student at any public (government) or private school, college, or university.
Age: You must be at least 16 years old when you fill out the application.
Driving Card: You need a valid driving license, a learner’s permit, or a special juvenile driving permit.
Guarantor: Your father, mother, or legal guardian must agree to be your guarantor and show proof of income.
Mobile SIM: The phone number you write on the application form must be registered in your guarantor’s name.

4. How to Apply Online for E-Bike Scheme?

Step-by-Step Portal Registration & Application Guide

1. Create Your Account

Access Registration: Go to bikes.punjab.gov.pk and open the Register form.
Basic Details: Enter your Full Name (as printed on your CNIC/B-Form), active Email Address, and CNIC Number.
License Status & Demographics: Select your Gender and Province. If you do not have a driving license yet, click the provided link (Don’t have a license? Click Here) to proceed accordingly.
Set Password: Create a strong password (at least 12 characters including uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters), re-enter it to confirm, and click Create Account.

2. Account Login

Sign In: Enter your registered CNIC Number and Password.
Captcha Verification: Type the displayed captcha code into the box and click Login to access the application dashboard.

3. Vehicle Selection & Applicant Personal Details

Choose Model & Color: Under Applying For, select your bike model (e.g., Margalla Electric 1000) and pick your preferred color (Black or Pink).
Personal Data Entry: Fill in your full name, CNIC issuance and expiry dates, father’s/husband’s name, father’s status (alive/deceased), gender, date of birth, contact number, and email.
Upload Applicant Scans: Upload clear, readable images (max 2MB each in JPEG, JPG, PNG, or GIF format) for your Digital Picture, CNIC/B-Form Front, and CNIC/B-Form Back.

4. Address & Delivery Location

Current Address: Enter your current house number, street, area, city, tehsil, and district.
Permanent Address: Provide your permanent address as shown on your CNIC (click Same as above if it matches your current address).
Delivery City: Select or type the city where you want your electric scooty delivered.

5. Parent / Guarantor Details & Financial Documents

Guarantor Selection: If you are self-employed or earning, check I am my own guarantor (Self Guarantor). Otherwise, select your relationship with the guarantor (Father, Mother, Brother, Sister, Spouse, or Other).
Guarantor Data: Enter the guarantor’s full name, CNIC number, CNIC expiry date, date of birth, marital status, number of dependents, and contact number.
Upload Guarantor ID: Upload clear front and back scans of the guarantor’s CNIC.
Income & Employment Details: Select the primary Source of Income, specify any additional income, and indicate if the guarantor is an existing Bank of Punjab (BOP) customer.
Upload Financial Proof: Attach proof of income documents (max 2MB), such as a Bank Statement / Salary Certificate / Pension Slip (less than 60 days old), Employment Letter, or Business Income Proof.

6. Educational Details

Institutional Info: Select your institution’s District, choose your Educational Institution from the dropdown list, and enter your enrolled Course / Degree Name.
Enrollment & Fee Details: Enter your Enrolled Since date and your Monthly Fee amount.
Upload Student Proofs: Attach clear scans of your Student Card / Bonafide Certificate and your Latest Paid Educational Fee Challan (max 2MB each).
Proceeding: Click Next to move to the References section.

7. Adding Two Non-Blood References

Reference Requirements: Provide details for two individuals who are not blood relatives (such as neighbors, colleagues, or family friends).
Reference Details Entry: For both Reference 1 and Reference 2, enter their Full Name, Mobile Number, CNIC Number, CNIC Issuance Date, and their Relationship with Applicant.

8. Accepting Declarations & Terms

Review Terms: Carefully read all declaration points regarding loan installment obligations, account debit authorization for The Bank of Punjab (BOP), and information verification consent.
Check Confirmation: Click the checkbox next to “I HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD AND AGREE WITH ALL THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS”.
Proceed: Click the green Next button.

9. Final Application Submission

Confirmation Prompt: A pop-up box titled “Are you sure?” will appear asking if you want to submit the application.
Submit: Click the green Submit button to finalize your application.
Success: A green checkmark with the message “Application submitted successfully!” will appear on your screen to confirm your submission.

5. What Happens After You Apply?

Once your form is submitted, the government team checks your school details and driving permit. After verification, your file goes to the bank for final approval of the zero-interest monthly plan. When approved, you will get a message telling you when and where to pick up your new electric bike, helmet, and safety gear.
